Maxine

Recently, Maxine's new mom wrote and told us:

During 2003, we lost two beloved cats (Mouse and Hobbes) to old age. Both were rescued and had been a part of our family for over 12 years. Needless to say, there was an emptiness in our home after we lost them.

A friend of ours, who also adopted from Kitty Cottage, told us about your wonderful organization.

The weekend after Christmas, 2003, we made a visit and met Maxine, with whom we immediately bonded. On December 30th, we brought her home and she became an instant member of our family.

You were kind enough to give us her "baby" (a stuffed toy with whom she had bonded). As you can see, she still loves and sleeps with this baby. She also enjoys her new condo, which we bought because that's where we always found her when we visited Kitty Cottage. We placed it by a window in our sitting room, where she loves to sit and enjoy the morning sun.

Maxine has made a place for herself in each room of our home! We thank you so much for offering this special opportunity for kitties and owners to find each other. Maxine has added so much to our hearts and lives. We can't imagine our home without her.
