After their adoption in October 2003, Pinky and Marianne's parents wrote:

Dear Kitty Cottage, Tom and I want to give you all an update on Pinky and Marianne. They have settled in very nicely in their new home. We have a ranch style home with hardwood floors and Pinky loves to run from one end of the house to the other. Marianne has taken over our bed and is very content to lounge. They enjoy playing with their many new toys and are eating like vacuum cleaners. We are very lucky to have been adopted by "our girls" and thank you for making it possible.
