Harry & Hermione (formerly Johnnie and Kimberly)  Harry's and Hermione's parents wrote recently to say: We adopted Harry and Hermione in July, 2003 a few weeks after the death of our 20 year old cat, Smokey. As much as we wanted to add a cat or kitten to our household, we could see that Rembrandt, our 7 year old gorgeous tabby, was miserable without Smokey. We came to Kitty Cottage to adopt one pet, but Diane convinced us that two kittens would be easier on Rembrandt than one. We didn’t need much encouragement to take the second kitten – and now with a male and female, their names came easily! Diane was right – the transition for Rembrandt was much easier because the kittens played with each other and did not “annoy” him as much as one would have. In a few short months they had become used to each other, and now Hermione in particular adores Rembrandt! They have a daily lick fest and he’s enjoying the company of his two new buddies. Harry is so amazing – he goes crazy for shrimp and loves to watch the drops of water while we’re in the shower. We can’t imagine not having either of them around. We are adjusting to having three cats in bed with us at night!
