Iggy had a rough start
in life. He first came into our care when he and the rest
of his littermates were about 10 days old (along with his
mommy). Iggy is actually about 8.5 months old now. We've
actually fostered him 3 times and decided to keep him.
Long story short, he was adopted out and the adopter did
not take good care of him and returned him because he was
not using the litterbox. He actually had pneumonia (it
was determined he was sick for at least 2 weeks before she
returned him to Kitty Cottage - no wonder he was soiling
outside the litterbox - he was trying to tell her
something)! I convinced my husband Jeff that we didn't
want to put him through another bad experience with an
adopter that would not take good care of him. He's doing
quite well, and of course, is using the litterbox like he
should.
Bentley is still a
"mommy's boy", following me around everywhere I go. He's
usually my morning alarm clock, waking me up just before
the alarm clock does. He also adores the kittens we
foster during "kitten season". They usually run right
over to him when they get a chance, and he mothers them by
grooming and holding them (as you can see by the pictures
of him and Iggy).
