One day while volunteering at Kitty Cottage, a cute little tabby cat named Lindsey jumped into my arms and heart! Lindsey began prancing around like an adorable rocking horse. That did it! I adopted her! Lindsey was only nine months old, and I had her for only three weeks when she proved how really special she is. My husband was a victim of advanced Alzheimers disease. During the night he some times wandered, but usually I awoke. This one night I was in a deep sleep when suddenly my hair was being yanked. It was Lindsey. Then I heard the front door slam. Quickly I ran after him just before he reached the trolley station destined for Philadelphia! I shudder thinking of what would have happened if Lindsey were not there. When times are down, there is always someone to help you...Take it, even if it is a paw!
