I wanted to write to you to let you know about one of your success stories. We adopted Sylvester in 2002 when he was about 5 years old. He was a beautiful mannered cat, with long, full multi-colored fur and big, furry paws that my daughter and I fell in love with when we saw him at your facility. Sylvester was adopted and given a loving home for 8 years. He was such a gentle soul, letting me shave him (he really wasn’t much of a groomer), slept with any of our kids or us in bed, and just loved to be around the family. Although we only had him for a short time (too short), he was a big part of our family.

Sylvester was diagnosed with cancer several weeks ago and I did what I could to keep him comfortable (subcutaneous fluids, steroids, antibiotics, etc.) – everything I could until there was nothing more I could do. I held him while he passed away and cried for two days. He was the best cat I’ve ever had (Sylvester was #4). Although it is heartbreaking to lose such a wonderful pet, I cannot imagine not having him in my life or my children's lives. We truly love him and hope that you know that all that you do for every stray cat is worth it for one cat to succeed in finding his family. Thank you for bringing us our Sylvester.
