I must say I
really came to the Cottage just to look around
and see what was going on as my friend had
such praise of your great work. I was only
there a few minutes and Toby seemed to zero in
on me with some rubs of the ankle and looks
that said he needed a pet. I had wanted to get
my Timmy Tomcat a pal as I am starting back to
work full time and he has a lot of energy to
work off everyday. Toby and he were about the
same age so, well, I decided to give another
kitty a new home.
Well much to my
surprise Toby was right at home from the first
night. We had not a bit of that new cat
under the bed syndrome. He has been
wonderful and Tim has taken to
him completely. They both see me off in the
morning and both are waiting for a pet and
treats when I get home. Each has a
little different style of toy chasing so it
works out perfectly. Toby hits and jumps
the stringed mouse with gusto with Tim
charging in for a fast bat and then charging
out again. They spend the rest of the time
taking turns running back and forth or bird
watching out the window. Toby is social and
has great cat manners like Tim so sharing the
cat perch, bed, or lap has not been an issue.
They are normal young boys so they fuss now
and then but it always ends up with mutual
grooming and back to fun.
